Lab Rats has made the Official Selection for the Ventura Film Festival, a very cool festival in the very, very cool town of Ventura (about an hour north of LA). Not only that, but they have selected Lab Rats to open the festival! A big red carpet extravaganza will kick the whole thing off, followed by a special screening of West Side Story, followed by the presentation of a Lifetime Achievement Award to Academy Award Winner George Chakaris... then... wait for it... a screening of Lab Rats followed by a kick-ass after party! And yes, you guessed it, I can't go... again! And yes, I'm annoyed. But hang on a minute - West Side Story side by side with my film, opening the festival... How annoyed can I be.

...well, New Jersey anyway. Lab Rats has made the Official Selection for the Hoboken Film Festival. It is screening at 4pm on Tuesday June 7th at the Cedar Lane Cinema, Teaneck, NJ. Once again, I can't make it (am I ever going to get to see my own film play at one of these!?) so if any of you New Yorkers are able to go, I'd love to hear what you think. The first New Yorker to post a comment on this blog after the screening, gets a special prize...
